Did you choose the title for the exhibition "Human Creativity Beyond Gravity?"
There is actually an essay written by one of the philosopher's Aneca at the beginning of the century under exactly this title. I borrowed it from him. Aneca was exploring in his writings the subject of creativity - at this time mostly in context of AI and future interplanetary life. At the time he wrote it - it was a beginning of AI. People were a bit scared and confused, so it is not a surprise that philosophers explored the subject.
I thought that this title is a nice bridge between us and them. In our first exhibition in Momars we chose only artworks we brought from Earth.

Did curating this exhibition change something about the way you see yourself?
Of course it does. I am responsible also for the Momars Archive. I was involved in this project many years before everything changed. The whole relocation process was logistically difficult. To create "Human Creativity Beyond Gravity" I have to dive into past. It brings a lot of emotions, some of them you would rather not feel.
We are a team, that is why we know that the whole project is possible. Decontaminating is the procedure which takes a lot of time. Theoretically most of the things were sorted before we arrived here, but when we started to create the exhibition we could not find pieces which work well together. It took a lot of time and effort to create "Human Creativity Beyond Gravity."

If visitors completely misunderstand the exhibition, is that a failure—or a form of creative freedom?
Ach, we have been trying to find answer for this question since forever, since I went into the university. By pushing boundaries you try to say something. By pushing boundaries, you also take the risk, a risk of being misunderstood.
We all have always wanted to be seen and recognized. We create exhibitions for the audience and also for ourselves. Here in Mars we are a much smaller community compare to Earth. We don't expect any unpredictable reactions anymore.
Decision of choosing embroidery, elements of architecture many of us remember from Earth, hanging a piece "Selfie" or placing a sculpture filled up with oxygen - can be seen a bit controversial. By this exhibition we would like to show what matters. I think nostalgia cannot be too risky.

What is the “gravity” in your own life?
Hmm… interesting question. I think now "gravity" for me is mostly my job and my friends here in T-City. This is what keeps me grounded and focus.
I also appreciate very much the well-being program provided by Department of Health. Pill for the meal and amount of work we have in Momars, motivates me every day to do more, to push the boundaries of what is possible.
I have those moment of reflection, naturally when gravity is not available fully, that it is incredible that now I work and live on Mars, and do what I love. In those moments I always ask myself: "Who would have thought?"
